About Fly Girl

Hello sweet friend, ​

My name is Shelly and I am the heart behind Fly Girl for Jesus. A space created for women just like you who are craving peach, purpose, and a deeper walk with Jesus. By profession I am a flight attendant, who has temporarily paused my wings, but by calling, I'm a woman who loves Jesus deeply and wats to encourage other women to grow, bloom, and soar in faith.

I am a grandmother to the most beautiful boys on earth (yes I am a little biased)! My world as I like to call them. They are my reason for being, my oxygen, my all. That adorable kiddo over there on the left, is my reason for EVERYTHING. His name is Cameron. He is 11 years old. He was born with a very rare condition called Schizencephaly and Cerebral Palsy. He is my miracle. He has surpassed all that the doctors said he could/would do. He lives with me and we never have a dull moment! The other one down below, is my oldest, we only have about a year left with that handsome soul, then he'll spread his wings and fly! And I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for him!

I am also a widow. I lost my husband to cancer 3 years ago after getting the diagnosis just 4 short weeks before he passed. That is a pain that will never subside, but I've learned to grow around.

​

This ministry was born in prayer and watered through seasons of joy, pain and everything in between. I know what it's like to feel stuck between wanting to live boldly for God and not knowing where to start. That's why this space exists-to remind you that you are chosen, courageous, and fully equipped by God to live a life that reflects His love and glory. 

​

Here, you'll find devotionals, Bible study resources, encouragement, and community. You'll also find honest, joy, grace, and a whole lot of Jesus. My prayer is that when you land here, you feel peace settle into your heart and hope rise up in your spirit.

I believe that faith isn't just something we do on Sundays-it's the way we live, speak, love, and show up daily. Whether you're a seasoned believer or just starting to explore what it means to follow Jesus, there's a seat for you here. You are welcome, wanted, and seen.

When I'm not flying the friendly skies or writing Bible studies, you can find me soaking up the sunshine, singing along to worship music, laughing with loved ones, cherishing every moment with my heart outside my body grandsons, and sipping something warm and cozy.

​

My life verse is Philippians 4:13-"I can do all this through Him who gives me strength." It's a reminder that whatever season we're walking through, we're not walking alone. 

​
